Universal Pack has been designing stick pack and sachet packaging machines and cartoning lines for seasonings for more than 60 years. The seasonings and spices market includes a wide range of products. For this reason, these industries need customized solutions to fulfill different needs, such as high productivity, multi-product machines with modular format change for minimum downtime.
We equip our seasoning packaging machines with auger or basculating dosing systems depending on the product composition. Customers have the possibility to add various accessories such as:
double hopper, which allows the simultaneous dosage of two different products in the same sachet, or in twin sachets;
rotating tubes, the right option for the dosage of products such as thyme, rosemary and herbs.
We design our solutions for seasonings such as: chili flakes, cloves, crushed spice mixes, curry, dried chopped herbs and vegetables, dry seasonings (with particles), glutamate, granulated soups or soup powders, ground pepper, nutmeg, peppercorns, saffron, salt, spice mix powders, stock powders and sunflower seeds.
Our internal laboratory analyzes every product and laminate, to design and build the best solution for your needs. After several internal tests and a thorough design review, your customized machine can be manufactured.

Which Formats are Suitable for Packaging Seasonings?
Our machines and lines are specifically dedicated to single-dose packages like stick packs and sachets. For example, we can dose from 0.1 up to 100 g of seasonings in a single pack, with dimensions that vary according to your marketing goals, nature of the product and production requirements.
In packaging lines for cartoning, our systems allow you to place from 1 to more than 100 sachets or stick packs in the same carton. We have developed patented counting units for any number of packages to be picked and placed into cartons. In recent years, our philosophy is to save as much material and product as possible, both for economic and environmental sustainability.
Which Laminates are Suitable for Packaging Seasonings?
Universal Pack seasonings packaging machines can process all typical heat-sealable composite films, for example: PAP-PE (paper – polyethylene), PAP-ALU-PE (paper – aluminum – polyethylene), PET-ALU-PE (polyethylene terephthalate – aluminum – polyethylene) and cold-sealable materials. Our machines can also package sustainable laminates such as PP (polypropylene), PLA (polylactic acid), PAP (paper), Bio-PE (bio-based polyethylene), and more on request.
