Which Dosing Systems are Suitable for Packaging Seeds & Herbs?
WUniversal Pack can configure each feeding system according to the product based on the product to be handled or dosed. On one hand, we can install an auger inside the rotating tubes, with dedicated shovels to dose seeds accurately. On the other hand, we can place basculating cups under the tubes to dose products such as thyme and rosemary.
We design each configuration to support high output. In addition, we equip the machine with an OEE-oriented film management system and rotary sealing rollers.

Types of Packages
Formats
Universal Pack sachet machines are specifically dedicated to single-dose packages. For example, we can dose from 0.1 up to 100 g of seeds and dried herbs in a sachet, with dimensions that vary according to your marketing goals, nature of the products and production requirements.
Moreover, we provide you with the possibility to easily integrate your sachet machine in a Universal Pack packaging line for cartoning. Our lines allow you to place from 1 to more than 100 sachets in the same carton. We have developed patented counting units for any number of packages to be picked and placed into cartons. In recent years, our philosophy is to save as much material and product as possible, both for economic and environmental sustainability.
Laminates
Universal Pack sachet machines for seeds and herbs can process all typical heat-sealable composite films, for example: PAP-PE (paper – polyethylene), PAP-ALU-PE (paper – aluminum – polyethylene), PET-ALU-PE (polyethylene terephthalate – aluminum – polyethylene) and cold-sealable materials. Our machines can also package sustainable laminates such as PP (polypropylene), PLA (polylactic acid), PAP (paper), Bio-PE (bio-based polyethylene), and more on request.

Our continuous research in reducing the packaging industry carbon footprint resulted in streamlined machinery design for packing recycled, recyclable and compostable laminates. LCA (Life Cycle Assessment) is used to measure the environmental impact of our products and identify optimal ways to reduce it. It is a 360° analysis that goes beyond the mere packaging produced and involves every step of the packaging machinery production process. We develop our solutions in close collaboration with the main global film suppliers and test them in agreement with major multinational companies in order to provide them with a turnkey solution able to produce more sustainable packages.
