Sterilization & Decontamination Technologies
We design our sachet machines for ultraclean packaging with top-down laminar flow.
This technology helps prevent external agents from coming into contact with dosing and forming units to help prevent contamination in the product area. We also provide chemical and non-chemical film decontamination technologies for film decontamination. Our ultraclean machines are easily accessible for maintenance and washdown operations.
We always verify the effectiveness of the ultraclean system in our internal laboratory. Ultraclean machines help maintain product shelf life of our customers’ products but while reducing or avoiding the need for preservatives, depending on the application.
Universal Pack designs all the parts of this type of machine in accordance with hygienic design best practices, such as self-draining surfaces and flat welds. In addition to that, the sealing units can be fully foam-cleaned.

Types of Packages
Formats
Universal Pack sachet machines for ultraclean packaging are specifically dedicated to single-dose packages. For example, we can dose from 0.1 to 200 g or ml of product in a sachet, with dimensions that vary according to your marketing goals, nature of the products and production requirements.
Moreover, we provide you with the possibility to easily integrate your sachet machine into a Universal Pack packaging line for cartoning. Our lines allow you to place from 1 to more than 100 sachets in the same carton. We have developed patented counting units for any number of packages to be picked and placed into cartons. In recent years, our philosophy is to save as much material and product as possible, both for economic and environmental sustainability.
Laminates
Universal Pack sachet machines for ultraclean packaging can process all typical heat-sealable composite films, for example: PAP-PE (paper – polyethylene), PAP-ALU-PE (paper – aluminum – polyethylene), PET-ALU-PE (polyethylene terephthalate – aluminum – polyethene) and cold-sealable materials. Our machines can also package sustainable laminates such as PP (polypropylene), PLA (polylactic acid), PAP (paper), Bio-PE (bio-based polyethylene), and more on request.
Sustainability
Our continuous research in reducing the packaging industry carbon footprint resulted in streamlined machinery design for packing recycled, recyclable and compostable laminates. LCA (Life Cycle Assessment) is used to measure the environmental impact of our products and identify optimal ways to reduce it. It is a 360° analysis that goes beyond the mere packaging produced and involves every step of the packaging machinery production process. We develop our solutions in close collaboration with the main global film suppliers and test them in agreement with major multinational companies in order to provide them with a turnkey solution able to produce more sustainable packages.
