Achema 2027
From Product Dosing to a Fully Integrated Pharmaceutical Packaging Line
Universal Pack will return to Frankfurt for ACHEMA 2027, taking place from June 14β18, 2027.
For us, a pharmaceutical packaging line is more than a series of connected machines. It is a coordinated process in which dosing accuracy, product protection, package integrity, inspection, and production continuity all need to work together.
Universal Pack designs primary packaging machines and complete integrated lines that can cover every stage of the process: product dosing, stick pack or sachet packaging, inspection, checkweighing, counting, product handling, and cartoning.

Alfa Flexi: Built for Production That Does Not Stand Still
At ACHEMA 2027, Universal Pack will showcase Alfa Flexi, a stick pack machine designed for manufacturers working with different products, package sizes, and production campaigns.
Both the stick pack width and the dosing system can be changed in just a few minutes. Depending on the selected configuration, the same machine platform can handle powders, granules, liquids, semi-liquid products, and viscous formulations.
That flexibility can make a meaningful difference in facilities managing multiple SKUs, variable batch sizes, or frequent transitions between products with very different physical properties.
What Alfa Flexi Brings to Production
- rapid stick pack width changes;
- fast replacement of the dosing system;
- handling of powders, granules, liquids, and viscous products;
- modular construction and a compact footprint;
- easy access to the main working areas;
- simplified cleaning and maintenance;
- integration with inspection and secondary packaging equipment.
Engineering Begins with the Product
Two pharmaceutical formulations that look similar can behave very differently once they enter a dosing system or reach the sealing area.
Flowability, density, moisture sensitivity, viscosity, dust formation, and packaging material properties can all affect machine configuration and process stability.
Universal Pack can conduct preliminary trials in its in-house laboratory before the final system is defined. Product characterization, dosing tests, and packaging material trials provide practical data that can be used to refine the design.
Rather than forcing an application into a standard configuration, the aim is to build the machine around the way the product actually behaves.
From a Stand-Alone Machine to a Complete Pharma Line
Alfa Flexi can operate as an independent packaging machine or serve as the primary packaging section of a fully integrated line.
Based on project requirements, Universal Pack can incorporate coding, vision inspection, checkweighing, rejection, counting, product handling, and cartoning systems. Configurations can also include features supporting access control, production data management, and validation activities.
This gives pharmaceutical manufacturers a single technical partner for the complete process, from the first dose to the finished carton.
Bring Your Packaging Challenge to Frankfurt
ACHEMA 2027 will provide an opportunity to discuss real production requirements directly with the Universal Pack team.
Information about the product, dose, package dimensions, packaging material, target output, changeover frequency, and required automation level will help our specialists evaluate the right configuration for the application.
