- Biodegradable refers to the disposal at the end of the plastic life.
- Bio-Based refers to the plastics origin, the way they are sourced.
Not all bio-plastics are biodegradable, nor all bio-plastics are bio-based.
As you can see, some bioplastics are bio based (but not biodegradable).
